Naidupet water treatment plant automation

The brief

SRR Projects is executing a government water supply EPC package that includes the water treatment plant at Naidupet, Andhra Pradesh. The plant needed automation and SCADA across the whole treatment train, and that scope came to us.

What we built

PLC and SCADA across the treatment train: intake pumps, chemical dosing trimmed against online analyzers, clarifier and filter sequencing with automatic backwash, chlorination and clear water reservoir control, with daily quality and energy reports.

• Inside an EPC package

  We supply the instrumentation, PLC and SCADA package to EPC contractors on water supply projects, from tender stage sizing to commissioning and handover. At Naidupet that scope sits inside SRR Projects' government water supply package.

• Dosing that follows the water

  Chemical dosing is trimmed against online turbidity, pH and chlorine analyzers, so coagulant and chlorine follow the raw water instead of a fixed setting.

• Filters, reservoir and reports

  Clarifier and filter sequences run with automatic backwash, and the clear water reservoir is controlled from the same SCADA. Operators get alarms and trends. The authority gets daily quality and energy reports.
